BIONICLE IS BACK

Marvelous showcasing of the Toa as they trek across Okoto with their Protector guides, in search of their Golden Masks of Elemental Power.
There's a little humor here and there, and Pohatu's scenes interacting with wildlife were surprisingly sweet.
Definitely worth a read if you're into Bionicle, or just getting into it.

Didn't expect this lol awesome!

This is a great restart to the Bonicle comic series. I am a big fan of the old series and collected every single issue throughout its run in LEGO magazine. It was such an interesting series and was a lot of fun. So when I saw that they were going to start the series up again I had to check it out.
This graphic novel is the length of several issues collected together, and the art is very cool and does the series justice. New additions to a familiar storyline will draw in old fans but also allow for new readers who have not read the series before. The writing is good in this one too. The characters are well-designed and all of the Toa look really cool!
It does seem like a reboot in my opinion, though I could be wrong. Either way its a cool graphic novel to check out especially for fans of the series or of the Bionicle figures themselves.

A bit redundant with a couple gems.

A series of little adventures featuring the Toa on their quest for the Golden Masks. Acts as a complement to the animations Lego has released online. The art style is lacking a bit sometimes: some of the character proportions did not feel right at times and the overall book feels a bit stiff. It does its job, though, and there some nice pannels. I've mentionned this was complementary to the animations online, because of this it suffers from the same problem as the first novel as, at one point, it simply re-tells part of the animations. Some of original stories do a decent job of complementing the animations, giving us insight into the Toa's characters and access to their adventures before they all met. These parts are fairly entertaining. Sadly, the rest of these original stories feel redundant for they tend to be copies of previous adventures, only in other settings and with other Toa.
Personally, as a Bionicle fan, I'm glad to have this book because of the truly original stories (and admitedly, some gave me a really good giggle). But I can't in good conscience give this a four star review because it has too many niggles that might put off others.
